the good and the bad things about being part of free-lance.ru It is October 22 today and according to the stats in my profile i've been using the network for 4 months now. Not that much, i do agree. Though i've already done a couple of projects, have been selected and gracefully rejected several times. Two positive feedbacks make me think that there is actually room for further growth. Very often i see some projects posted that I feel I might make my bid for. The description seems to be asking the kind of services i might be able to provide. But, i see that PRO sign, absolutely treacherous one. Granted, outsourcers can restrict the project to users only with pro account, thus saving themselves the trouble of rejecting numerous odd and "green" offers. But in this case a lot of truly professionals are outboard. "Get Pro Account and enjoy all the premium features?" I would love to, were the membership cheaper!! One-year membership costs 234 $ . Isn't it too much? I guess, it is.

ничего плохого..просто вы не правы.. но я с вами не спорю потому что ваше мнение основано на теории..вернее оно не на основе опыта

the thing is that we have differnet fields of expertise, PandaBanda. I am sure that your creative artwork and design can bring money big enough to easily pay for PRO membership. My thoughts are in fact backed by some experience. Here is some simple arithmetic: to pay for PRO membership, i have to translate some 30 pages (and my rates are not exactly rock-bottom), there are some other translation workplaces on the web, where the membership is much lower and the standard rates are much higher. Once you have translated 5 pages (with the average rate 25 $ per source page) you can can go premium. Unlike here. That's what i'm saying. Anyhow, thanx for your being interested in what i think.

I'm just not sure that it could be some good investment. Please, study the rates that outsourcers mainly expect from freelance translators: 2-3 $ per source page. That's juts nothing, hence my burst of indignation.

Да не, это не так уж и много. Хотя, с вашей специализацией он не так уж и необходим, разве что для неограниченного количества ответов на проекты, ну и для рейтинга.

No pensó que su conduzca bastante adecuada para Free-lance. Bien , usted sabe Ingles, pero otras personas, que quieren decir sobre PRO, no saben. No pensó, que PRO puede ayudar en el principio del trabajo, pero después, puede ser. Escribo de español, para que usted pueda ver, que otro idioma no es preferible, cuando quiere comunicarse con las personas.
